Frequently-asked Questions
How much does it cost?
The cost varies depending on which piece of pottery you choose. We have a selection of over 130 pieces ranging from £8 to £44, so there really is something for everyone!
The price includes the pottery, instruction, paint & tools, glazing and firing.
When are you open?
We are open from 10am-5pm seven days a week
Do I need to book?
Booking is definitely recommended. Just give us a call on 0113 3189315 during opening hours.
You will always need to book for any of our print services, and these are not available at weekends or during school holidays.
For groups of six or more, we ask for a deposit of £5 per person. We refund this based on the number of people that attend (i.e., six people would pay a £30 deposit, and if only 5 attended we would refund £25).
Are there any restrictions on booking?
Anyone under 14 needs to be accompanied by an adult (ie, someone over 18 years old). We don't insist on everyone painting, but we can't be responsible for unaccompanied children.
Each table has a maximum capacity, and we will not exceed that number under any circumstances - please make sure you tell us exactly how many people are attending, not just the number of painters.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
We do! They're available in £10, £15 or £20. We don't give change on Gift Vouchers, but there is no time limit as to when they can be used.
Is there parking?
We don't have a dedicated car park but there is a free car park 100 yards down Roundhay Road or 200 yards uphill at Oakwood Clock. There is also free on-street parking on both sides of Roundhay Road outside our studio.
Please don't use the Fitness First car park behind our studio as they will fine you!
Can I bring my own food?
If you've booked our party room, or you're coming to an evening event then you're welcome to bring food. At other times we ask that you don't bring your own food and drink, unless it is for your baby.
How long does it take?
It depends on several things: how big the item is, how detailed a design you're painting, and how quickly you paint.
We run two-hour sessions. If you don't manage to finish your piece in one session, you're welcome to arrange to pop back on a weekday (apart from school holidays)!
When do I get my pottery back?
It takes a week for us to prepare, glaze, and fire your pottery. If anything is going to take longer than that, we'll send you a text.
If it is pottery from a party or print session, then we will text you as soon as your pottery is ready, usually 1-2 weeks.
We look after your pottery for up to two months, but sadly any uncollected pottery will be disposed of after that time.
What if something goes wrong?
Unfortunately, there is a small risk that your pottery item may be damaged in the firing process.
This is beyond our control, but we understand how disappointing it can be. If you decide not to keep the item we'll give you the option of a full refund, or another visit to the studio to paint the same item again, free of charge.
Can my items be posted to me?
Sadly we've stopped offering to post peoples' items to them, after a couple of unhappy experiences.
